The Universal Citywalk in Orlando opened in 1999 as one component of the expansion that transformed Universal Studios Florida into today's Universal Orlando Resort. It was built over the former Universal Studios parking lot and entrance. Guests arriving at the resort park in one of two multi-story parking structures, then travel via covered moving sidewalks over Universal Boulevard into CityWalk. From there, guests can proceed into either of the theme parks, Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure.
City Walk is packed with many shops, restaurants, cafes and nightclubs and serves as a good place to stop off after a day in one of the two parks. |

Universal's Islands of Adventure was the studio's second theme park to open in Orlando, Florida. The theme of the park, as the name implies, is exploration and adventure.
Guests begin their adventure from an inland sea main port and from there they can then journey to and explore one of the park's five islands.
Each area (island) of the park is located around the central lagoon and follows on the idea of exploration but has it's own unique theme giving the impression that every area is a different destination in the journey.
