Universal Studios

Universal Studios Florida is themed after the entertainment industry, mainly movies and television.

As well as being a theme park base on movies Universal Studios Florida is also a working production studio being used for several movies, television series, commercials and music videos.

Strewn throughout the park are rides, attractions and shows based on real movies hence the park's slogan "Ride the Movies"

The park is laid out into several areas each with their own theme.

Production Central

Production Central serves as the park's main entrance. The section is a cluster of motion picture soundstages, each of which houses attractions inspired by today's most popular films and television shows or actual film & television filming.

Attractions include Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, a motion simulator ride and Shrek 4-D.

Hollywood

In this Hollywood Boulevard recreation guests can some famous Hollywood monuments such as Schwabs Drug Store and can even eat in Mels Drive in.

This area contains Universal's Horror Make up Show, Lucy: A Tribute, a walk-through museum dedicated to the actress Lucille Ball and Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time.

New York

In the New York themed section of the park guests can experience what a tornado may feel like on Twister...Ride it Out, feel the wrath of the Mummy on Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride or enjoy an outdoor performance with Blues Brothers Live.

San Francisco/Amity

Based on both the mature coastal city of San Francisco and the tourist town of Amity in New England this area contains Beetlejuice's Rock and Roll Graveyard Revue, a live show featuring classic Universal monsters, Disaster!: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!, Fear Factor Live and the Jaws ride where guests are attacked by a great white shark while taking a boat tour.

World Expo

World Expo takes its inspiration from the international expositions of the 20th century. It combines ultra-modern architecture as seen from the 1960s and today. Themeing in the area includes various flags of world countries and of Simpsons characters.

Attractions in this area include Men in Black: Alien Attack, an interactive dark ride and The Simpsons Ride motion simulator.

Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone

This is Universal Studio's children's area. The area features A Day in the Park With Barney live stage show, Fieval's Playground, Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster junior roller coaster and E.T Adventure.
