Disney's Epcot
Epcot is primarily dedicated to international culture and technological innovation. Walt Disney always considered progress to be one of the greatest aspects of the human race and Epcot is a testament to his admiration of progress itself. His original plan was to build a real working futuristic community where people would live and work but, unfortunately, he never got to see his dream come true. Walt passed away before The Magic Kingdom was completed and after his death the Disney Corporation decided that instead of running a city it would incorporate the essence of Walt's idea into a new theme park.
Disney's Epcot (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) is a blend of two themed areas celebrating the human race, it's progress and it's diversity.
Future World
This is the futuristic first half of the park and is primarily involved with exploring and showcasing innovations in technology of today and tomorrow. Many aspects of Future World, such as the ride Spaceship Earth, are also concerned with the achievements of mankind that brought us to where we are now and where those achievements may take us in the future.
